About Slovakia

Slovak Republic was established 1, January 1993. Despite the relatively young age of the Slovak Republic, it has rich history and geographically good position. Slovakia spreads over 49 035 km2. Its neighbours are Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland and Ukraine. Slovakia has a population of 5.5 million, 86% are Slovaks.


Bratislava is the Capital city of the Slovak Republic. Bratislava, one of the smallest European capital cities, lies in immediate proximity of Vienna and Budapest. Recent years of tourism development not only increased the offer of services, but also quality of accommodation and tourist attractions.
