3 – 4 hours in the afternoon – visit of Záhorie region and its sights – Stupava - Ferdiš Kostka Museum, Veľké Leváre – Hutterite Yard
Stupava – Ferdiš Kostka Museum is located in a house at F.Kostka street 26, where he was born, where the significant folk ceramist and national artist lived and worked in years 1878 – 1951. the permanent exposition includes his products – original figurative work, kickwheels, shop, original furnishing of a Hutterite ceramist workshop and the oldest ceramic furnace in Slovakia. Veľké Leváre – Hutterite Yard – the wonderful folk architecture reserve formed by 22 original structures constructed in the 17th – 19th centuries ranks among the largest groupings of Hutterite houses in Europe. Hutterites – members of anabaptist religious sect were driven from Switzerland. They were recognised for their crafts and production of Hutterite ceramics. The Hutterite Yard belongs among the oldest folk architecture sights in Slovakia. In Iszer house, there is Museum of Hutterite Crafts. Visits need to be agreed by phone, tel.
